"Kiss & Makeup: Lip Love"

We meet again, DKBeauties. :) Sorry for the delay—my summer's been sizzlin'! Hope you've all had plenty of time to unwind, soak up the sun (with SPF, of course!), and perhaps even play with some new beauty products!

Whilst on vacation last month, I felt inspired by this idea of "Kiss & Makeup" and decided it was bigger (and worthy of more) than just a mini-blog project. So, I've changed "DKBeauty Blog" to "Kiss & Makeup"—new name, same content. ;) Enjoy!

Now, on to a little lip love...I stayed true to my word and tried out several different lip looks during my trip. And alas, I can now say—I'M A BELIEVER! Bold, fun lip color not only made my pout stand out, but also brightened up my entire face. See for yourself (and let me know what you think!):

I mostly stayed in the pink/red family, but in future entries, I plan to try out some nude and peachy/corally colors. I'll also explore other common makeup hang-ups—please feel free to send through your ideas and I can tackle them month by month. :)

In the end, I can honestly say that my fear of letting my pout shout was eased with this experiment...and I hope you'll all step outside your makeup comfort zones as a result!
